The Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Pance Toshkovski, revealed details about violations recorded this Sunday during the local elections held in 80 municipalities. Toshkovski announced that 11 individuals have been arrested.

He emphasized that the elections were calm and democratic. According to the minister, a total of 91 incidents were reported on Sunday, most of which were related to vote-buying or photographing ballots.

“I proudly state that today’s elections were the calmest and most democratic so far. Today we proved that when institutions function properly, democracy grows.

A total of 91 cases were reported across North Macedonia, most involving vote-buying, photographing ballots, and similar activities. Eleven individuals were arrested — four have been released, while seven others remain under investigation,” he said.
