With the launch of new seasonal services to Phuket, Thailand, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, alongside enhanced offerings to key destinations, the French flag carrier is set to strengthen its position in the competitive global aviation market.

New Routes and Increased Frequency

Beginning in November 2025, Air France will introduce a thrice-weekly service from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Phuket International Airport (HKT). The flights will operate on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, providing passengers with comfort and efficiency on this long-haul route. The seasonal service will run through March 2026, offering a convenient connection to one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations.

In addition to Phuket, Air France is adding seasonal flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Starting on January 13, 2026, the airline will offer three weekly flights from Paris to this Caribbean paradise. The Punta Cana route will also be operated on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and run through March 28, 2026. With its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and luxurious resorts, Punta Cana is a favorite among travelers seeking sun, sand, and relaxation.

These new routes to Thailand and the Dominican Republic come at a time when Air France is working to provide more options for both leisure and business travelers. Additionally, Air France is extending its newly launched Orlando route into the winter months, offering five weekly flights. For South American travelers, Air France is increasing its weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro to 12, while services to San José (Costa Rica) will rise to 10 weekly departures. Flights to Cape Town, South Africa, will also see an increase in frequency, with seven weekly services, catering to the growing demand for travel to Africa.

One of the most notable expansions will be in Bangkok, Thailand, where Air France will now offer twice-daily flights. This increased frequency is expected to enhance connectivity for both leisure tourists and business travelers between Paris and the Thai capital.

Rising Long-Haul Capacity and La Première Suite Rollout

Air France’s winter 2025 schedule also includes a 3% increase in long-haul capacity compared to the previous winter season. This growth reflects the airline’s confidence in the continued recovery of international travel, particularly on long-haul routes. With nearly 800 daily flights to 170 destinations, Air France remains a key player in the global aviation market, offering a wide range of options for travelers.

To complement its expansion, Air France is continuing to enhance its premium offerings with the rollout of its luxurious La Première suite. Starting in December 2025, the La Première suite will be available on flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Miami, followed by Tokyo Haneda from March 2026. The La Première cabin, which provides an exclusive and refined experience, is currently available on select routes to New York JFK, Singapore, and Los Angeles.
