The United Kingdom has appealed to member states of the United Nations that have not yet recognized Kosovo’s independence to do so as soon as possible.

According to the British representative, recognition is a key element in ensuring long-term stability in the region and in enabling Kosovo’s full development. In her speech, she also called on Serbia to hand over the chief terrorist Milan Radoičić and expressed concern over attacks against Kosovo’s Constitutional Court.

“The United Kingdom remains a steadfast supporter of Kosovo’s democratic development and its Euro-Atlantic path. As one of the first countries to have recognized Kosovo’s independence, we call on member states that have not yet done so to join the majority. Recognition is essential for long-term stability and for unlocking Kosovo’s full potential,” she stated.
