‘We will make life difficult for speculators.’ Razem wants higher taxes

Together, a month ago it passed a bill imposing a higher real estate tax on businesses engaged in housing speculation. The difference per square meter is solid compared to the current tax on private ownership of a flat: PLN 30 for companies.

This is a real change in housing policy, which may have a real impact on apartment prices in Krakow, but not only (Katowice has adopted a similar tax, Wrocław is potentially in the queue.

And thanks to actions such as this one, or fighting alcohol in the Sejm, constantly putting pressure on the government and its aversion to supporting Polish science and development (telescope near Toruń, Magda Power Plant), pointing out corruption and calling for free lunches in schools, Razem makes me hope that there can be a party that wants to help people, and not just win elections.
