Tourist arrivals in Slovenia climbed by 11.7% year-on-year to 0.74 million in September 2025, following a 2.5% rise in the previous two months.

The number of foreign tourist arrivals increased by 13.1% to 605,098, while domestic arrivals rose by 5.8% to 132,785.

Most foreign visitors came from Germany, Austria, the United States, Italy, and Czech Republic.

Meanwhile, overnight stays grew by 10.8% to 1.77 million, led by stays in the mountain resorts (48% of all overnight stays), seaside resorts (20%), Ljubljana, the capital (17%), and health (spa) resorts (15%).

Considering January to September, tourists generated 5.80 million arrivals (6.4% more than the same period last year) and 15 million overnight stays (6.1% more than last year).

Foreign tourists generated 76% of all overnight stays, with most coming from Germany.
