The group intends to reach Novi Sad by November 1, coinciding with an anticipated rally marking one year since the city’s train station canopy collapsed, causing 16 fatalities. They claim government corruption and shoddy renovations were to blame.
Having left Novi Pazar on October 16, support for their cause has grown, with more students joining along the way. Their collective march underscores existing ethnic tensions, while serving as a platform for unity and change in Serbia’s socio-political landscape.
