Attempted murder is notoriously hard to prove. GBH with intent is easier and can still in theory get a life sentence.

Whatever you call the crime, the person doing this surely knows very well that it could kill? Holy shit I know this guy! I haven’t seen him in years. This guy was fucking unstable as fuck. I’m almost certain police were called on his multiple times and they did fuck all. I used to live in Murray grove and I’m CERTAIN that’s the same guy. He has a few other ‘homeless’ mates with him. He is definitely not homeless cause he used to stay in a trap house below me.

I doubt jail, likely mental institution (they haven’t close all mental health services yet have they? Just massively unfeefunded and crippled system still?) for x years and then community order
The real question is why such a person is in this country and attacking our kids, and now being spent money on to keep here? If its a farcical “sentence” as I suspect, why not just exile or deport him? Give the money saved to the victim or on mental health services / homelessness etc
