IF YOU DON’T HAVE MONEY, YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING AND IT HAS A RIPPLE EFFECT. IT AFFECTS EVERYBODY. ACCORDING TO GOVERNOR KEVIN STITT, OKLAHOMANS COLLECT MORE THAN $130 MILLION EVERY MONTH IN FEDERAL SNAP BENEFITS. WITHOUT THESE DOLLARS, OKLAHOMANS ARE HUNGRY AND BUSINESSES LOSE OUT ON CUSTOMERS FROM THE SUPPLIERS TO THE DISTRIBUTORS TO THE SELLERS, TO THE CONSUMERS, EVERYBODY IS AFFECTED. ACCORDING TO FEEDING AMERICA, EVERY DOLLAR SENT OUT IN SNAP BENEFITS GENERATES UP TO $1.50 INTO THE LOCAL ECONOMY. THAT’S MONEY BUSINESSES RELY ON BRINGING IN. SO BUSINESSES LOSE MONEY AND THEN THEY ARE. THE CONSUMERS CANNOT AFFORD THEM. SO THE SUPPLIERS WHO SUPPLY THOSE THINGS ARE IN TURN CANNOT BE PAID. AFFECTS EMPLOYMENT. IT AFFECTS HIRING.
