This lady is doing great work showing how backwards the councils are – I wish she got more mainstream traction. She really seems to be highlighting how how bureaucratic and ossified local government is. Pretty funny as well

Surely, the equitable outcome would be to cancel any fines issued prior to a clearly defined cutoff point. After which, it would be considered reasonable by most to expect the public to be aware of the change.
It just seems like a pointless waste of the councils time and resources pursuing this further.

This is brilliant! I followed this on tiktok first with Manchester council FOIs and mainly the staff were in a spin about media rather than changing any signage.
Zoe Bread is bringing that bureaucratic absurdity to the forefront in a non confrontational and engaging way. It could have been resolved so easily by Liverpool and Manchester councils. Now they’ve brought Bread to the front page of the Beeb!

She’s shown both Manchester and Liverpool councils to be pretty incompetent and basically corrupt. Good on her.
“Oh shit she’s opened the door for more tickets to be cancelled, we made a mistake cancelling her parking ticket, abort! abort!”

I love her fight against the faceless bureaucratic state. Inspiring.

The article doesn’t explain very well the alleged wrongdoing of the council. “Lack of signage”, is that her reason? I really don’t want to go hunt for the tiktoks.

Zoe is a national treasure who highlights a significant concern of the calibre of individuals who work in positions of authority.

It’s sad how Zoë has now had to expose 3 councils this year for lying through their teeth, corrupt practices, and just generally being absolute cunts.
Love the work she’s doing and the videos are superb, but the fact the organisations intended to represent us are stabbing us in the back is just depressing.

Do you think John from complaints just had enough and cancelled it?

I don’t remember a Zoe from Bread. There was one in May to December though.
