Smiling Friends on Adult Swim (streaming next day on HBO MAX) has had a repeated tradition for each Episode 4 of the season, being a Halloween special.
The show’s already established, if accidental, tradition of releasing Halloween content after the holiday had a perfect chance to be broken this year. In a shocking first for the series, a sudden hiatus has squandered the opportunity, delaying the spooky spectacular until November 2, 2025. This means the Halloween episode will once again arrive too late for your Smiling Friends-themed costume parties. This cements a new, deeply disappointing custom for the series: an annual anti-Halloween episode drop.
There isn’t much we know about the episode that wasn’t revealed in the “Episode Titles for Smiling Friends S3” video released on Adult Swim’s YouTube Channel, which revealed that the title of the episode would be “AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!.”
The official description of the episode is “A Halloween Witch puts a curse on Smiling Friends Office on Halloween,” and from the clip that was revealed in the Season 3 trailer, it will feature a possessed form of Glep attacking the Smiling Friends Office in some way.
