Thanks to you and all the important tips, I managed to make dumplings that weren’t like clay balls! This time I made Russian dumplings, and although it was my first time, the taste seemed new and nostalgic at the same time – it brought tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful experience you gave me made me truly grateful☺️💐
It’s just that I wanted to make these beautiful twisted patterns, but while the chefs on YouTube make it so easy, when I try it myself all I get are mysterious wrinkles. Hmmm, maybe Poles can use magic 🤔🪄
Since donuts seemed difficult, I decided to try faworki. When I served them to my daughter and her friend, they disappeared in the blink of an eye and the plates quickly came back empty 🤭 (Traditional with powdered sugar, and also a version with “garlic salt” for my daughter who likes salty – they were also very popular)
As for tinctures, the glass in the upper right corner of the photo is 45° vodka with shiso (a Japanese herb), without added sugar. It was also delicious, but I would like to try the traditional tincture, which you really appreciate. If you have your favorite tinctures, please share them 👀✨
PS. I was advised to drink vodka chilled, not at room temperature. When I tried it this way, I’m normally satisfied with one glass at room temperature, but it was so easy to drink chilled that I drank three glasses almost non-stop. Thanks to this, I overslept the next day 😂

O, wygląda pysznie!!
Uwielbiam faworki, co roku jem całą michę na tłusty czwartek (oczywiście pączki też :D).
I zgadza się z wódką, zdecydowanie smakuje lepiej schłodzona. Ciepłej w ogóle nie potrafię wypić.
Cytrynówka, żurawinówka i porterówka.
Zarówno pierogi, jak i faworki wyglądają obłędnie ☺️ jestem pewna, że smakowały równie dobrze!
Vodka isn’t really meant to be drunk like whisky or similar spirits. Poles just quickly drink a shot, usually having some juice or soda to wash it down. “Tasty” vodka usually means it’s not straight up repulsive.
There are some fancy high end vodkas that some claim to drink like whiskey… but that’s super niche.
Good luck with nalewka, I never made one myself so no tips from me.
Ps. Pierogi with chopsticks look wild. I guess that’s how Japanese feel seeing people eating sushi with fork 😉
