The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta (ASA) has announced that Mario Dalli has tendered his resignation from his position as President of the Malta Waterpolo Referees Association (MWRA).

Dalli has served the refereeing body with commitment and professionalism, contributing significantly to the management and development of water polo officiating in Malta. During his tenure, he worked closely with both the ASA and the MWRA to uphold high standards of integrity and consistency within the sport.

The ASA expressed its appreciation for Dalli’s dedication and service throughout his presidency and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.

Despite stepping down from his role as MWRA President, Dalli will continue to represent the ASA as a Match Delegate in local competitions and as an EA Technical Delegate in European events – positions in which his extensive experience will continue to benefit the sport.

The ASA now looks forward to the appointment of a new MWRA President and to ongoing collaboration aimed at further strengthening local refereeing structures and promoting the continued growth of water polo in Malta.
