  1. Well, if Tesla had invented AI, Edison would have made AI popular and commercially available everywhere.

But it would be a worse version of it.

More seriously, technology made leaps these last decades. If Tesla had AI 100 years ago, since no one knows how the world would be like 100 years from now, we just have no idea what present would be like.

  2. To “invent AI” as we know it today, you must invent very powerful computers first. There were no powerful computers invented in times of Tesla.

Also, I think you need at least 5 billion people on Earth to be able to build a powerful computer, and we reached it only in 1987.

You didn’t link a video and I’m grateful for that. I’d rather watch “what if Nostradamus invented space travel?”

Current AI algorithms were mosty invented 40-50 years ago. The reason why it didn’t really work back then was limited computation power and limited training data. On the other hand, what if Tesla invented 10nm microchips and the internet?

  4. A guy that was inventor, not mathematician, could invent what is pretty complex mathematical system, and then run in on machines that needed century do even be made possible?

What if Copernicus landed on Mars though, that’s a real question…
