To be fair this isn’t a big thing in Russia though.
Russia celebrates “Unity Day” that commemorates the uprising. Not an independence day as the post suggests. Russia never declared independence from Poland. Stop spreading bs.

Also, you need to know that the monument for the heroes of that liberation (Minin&Pożarski) in Moscow is colloquially called ‘Beavis&Butthead’
Honestly, let’s undo that. All that independence gave Russia the wrong ideas.
And they had to burn capital down to get us out.
Ironic that the only reason Poland was able to capture and hold Moscow was because other Russians joined them!
Belarus does also technically, they celebrate the 39 USSR invasion as Unity day.

Technically it was commonwealth. It was job of Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine too!
I lived in russia for years and never heard of this.
In Poland we celebrate it few days. 11.11, 15.08, 03.05,
