The Kosovo Police said that on November 1 it received information that, in the Leposaviq area, a citizen of Kosovo of Serbian nationality was allegedly wounded and abducted within the territory of Kosovo by the Serbian Gendarmerie.

“The location where the incident reportedly occurred is believed to be within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, specifically within the so-called ‘zero point’ area, near Leposaviq, between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. The Kosovo Police have informed and cooperated with KFOR, which is responsible for the border zone,” the Kosovo Police said in a statement on November 3.

The Police stated that the victim, identified by the initials M.V., was, according to witnesses, transported by ambulance toward the city of Niš, Serbia.

Police said they have interviewed eyewitnesses and, through them, obtained information that “masked individuals entered the territory of Kosovo, wounded and abducted the victim, and then transported him into Serbian territory.”

According to the statement, the case has been initiated with the justice authorities in Kosovo.
