Everything is cooked outdoor over an open fire. The finished meal is eaten at sunset, the way I like it.

  1. I feel: 50%- OMFG this is amazing and satisfies an existential need for nature and beautiful simple living GIMMEE MORE THANK YOU SWEET SOUL 😍, AND 50%- I live in the land- locked midwest of the US and would very much appreciate ignorant bliss so I don’t realize what I’m missing out on LEAVE ME ALONE. 🫨

  2. Actual, proper, cooking on the beach! Love it. Some of it looks very different from waht I’m used to eating, but it all looks truly amazing. I’ll bring the beer!

  3. I haven’t made a meal that good in my kitchen let alone on an open fire on the beach. You’re living the dream!

My question as well. How do you not get sand in your food? Or is that part of the meal?

Around the time of liberation of the Philippines, my grandfather was in the us forces. Just a few months before being directly mobilized to Japan. He and many others hung out with locals eating most delicious pork and fish. Fresh fruits on grills. My grandfather was part of the signal corps so he lent out pliers and telegraph wiring as fishing lines. Local motor pool slapped together crude grills for in-ground fire pits. July-August 1945

How did you learn to cook like that?! Also, the photos are amazing, what type of camera did you use?

How do you defend this buffet from the birds and other beach scavengers? Looks so tasty that you would also have to defend it from me if I was there!

  9. It really looks incredible. I just wish I could stand the taste of sea food. I’d be asking If you had any pasta or chicken.
