But, we still need NASA for Apophis arrival…we are in for shit.
It’s so sad. I’m European, and follow space orgs from all around the world. Of course ESA has a special place in my heart.
But NASA was always fascinating to follow. So many great projects, inventions and mindblowing discoveries. JPL was always a dream of mine to work at. Seeing it being gutted now is equal parts saddening and infuriating. I hope we can restore what was lost, both in capacity and trust.
Needless to say, they are so afraid of how the Chinese are winning the space race due to the Space X problems and the Artemis delays that they banned their Chinese employees even from Zoom meetings.
This has been done as Trump was briefed on the black space projects which are way ahead of NASA and their 1960s Artemis tech and said defund this front of a legitimate space program.
