Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke today with the Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko, about bilateral relations, energy stability and regional challenges, especially gas supply.

“We paid special attention to gas supply and conditions that ensure security, price predictability, and further diversification of sources,” he wrote on Instagram.

The Serbian leader said that their goal remains the same: to fully respect international obligations regarding the NIS and all related measures and restrictions, while protecting “energy security, jobs and investments in Serbia.”

Vučić said that Serbia “will continue the dialogue, with determination and pragmatism, while protecting the interests of its citizens.”

“I am convinced that dialogue remains the best way to overcome challenges and ensure a sustainable energy future for our country,” he wrote.

Otherwise, the US has imposed new sanctions on the Russian fuel company, Lukoil, which has a majority stake in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS). /Telegraph/
