TIRANA, November 7 – Albania’s national football team coach, Sylvinho, has named 25 players for the final two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches, against Andorra and England.
In a press conference, he said both games require full focus and effort. The coach added that the team has grown stronger over the past three years and that this stage will help assess the current squad.
Speaking about Andorra, Sylvinho called it a tough opponent. He said Albania must play with intensity and concentration, as Andorra defends with determination and energy.
He welcomed the return of defender Ardian Ismajli, saying the player is fully recovered and back in form.
Sylvinho also commented on the absence of midfielder Nazmi Gripshi and praised Medon Berisha for his steady progress and growing experience.
The national team will gather on November 10 in Barcelona. The match against Andorra takes place on November 13, followed by the home game against England on November 16 at “Air Albania” stadium.
