Dario Gjergja may become Bosnia and Herzegovina’s new coach after Adis Beciragic’s resignation, with negotiations and voting now underway.
Belgian-based coach Dario Gjergja has emerged as the leading candidate to take charge of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team. Following the end of his tenure with Belgium after the recent EuroBasket, Gjergja is now in active discussions with officials in Sarajevo about stepping into the role.

The coaching position became unexpectedly vacant when Adis Beciragic resigned despite guiding the team to an impressive round-of-16 finish at EuroBasket. His departure opened the door for a new direction just months before crucial World Cup qualifying games.
According to N1, talks between Gjergja and the federation are progressing, after which the Executive Board will vote on the final appointment. If confirmed, Gjergja would lead Bosnia and Herzegovina into a challenging qualifying group that includes regional rival Serbia.
