No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia and No. 2 seed Lorenzo Musetti of Italy will meet in Saturday’s final at the Hellenic Championship in Athens, Greece.
Djokovic advanced with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann in 79 minutes in Friday’s first semifinal. He will be chasing his 101st career title after firing nine aces and converting three of six break points.
Musetti kept his Nitto ATP Finals hopes alive with a 6-0, 5-7, 7-5 win against Sebastian Korda. Musetti must defeat Djokovic to leapfrog Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime to claim the No. 8 seed in the year-end championship that begins Sunday in Turin, Italy. [Reuters]
