Adelina Isufi was just three years old when her family escaped the death grip of Serbian forces marauding through Kosovo in the late 1990s. Life for her family today is immeasurably better, thanks to the sanctuary offered by Ireland.
Her family was at a crossroads in the darkness of a terrifying night in 1999. Adelina’s parents, Hisni and Emine, still reflect on the war while sipping tea in the safety of their home in Tralee 26 years later. They are fortunate to have survived when so many did not.
