A media scandal occurred today in North Macedonia. There, Sitel Television, during a show, presented a map of the Western Balkan countries on the screen, where the map of the state of Kosovo was presented incompletely, but with broken lines in its north-eastern part, more precisely on the border with Serbia, thus not recognizing the country’s independence, implying that Kosovo is part of Serbia.

Political scientist Xhenis Sulimani posted about this, describing the action in question as a “mentality on the way to Russia with Serbia.”

”SCANDALOUS map on Sitel television, national television, where the Republic of Kosovo is not independent, and with complete, but interrupted lines and part of Serbia/ YES, this mentality is just the way,… in fact, along the way with Serbia, to Russia. #politicalprovincialismofitskind”, he wrote.

Otherwise, the television in question, Sitel, is known as a media outlet that is pro-Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
