Progressives spent decades trying to overturn blasphemy laws, only to go on to become their most ardent enforcers.
This is good, but the comparison to bigoted so-called “gender critical” beliefs is absurd.
It should be fine to criticize a religion, a belief system that somebody chooses.
It should not be fine to bully trans people – being trans is not a belief system, not something that is chosen, no matter how much they use bs terms like “gender ideology” to describe trans people having rights.
It’s not an issue with Islam: it’s the right to criticise anyone or anything, as long as it’s not inciting hatred, violence or their rights
