Next week, VLEN leaders are expected to sit down with Prime Minister Mickoski to discuss the fate of the ministries.

It is not known what the overall picture of the government cabinet will look like, when there is still no agreement on the names that will be placed at the head of the ministries that remained vacant as a result of the local elections. Minister of Health, Azir Aliu, in an interview with Radio Free Europe, asked about his fate in the government and whether he expects to be included in the eventual reconstruction, said that Mickoski decides on this.

“My profile as an expert and as a person is to work maximally and dedicate myself to where I am at the moment. And I am doing this now and historically in my academic and political positions. Believe me that in this part, considering the fact that it does not depend on me, because we have infrastructure, we have a political government, we have a prime minister who decides on the reconstruction of the Government. And this depends on the profile of each minister. I estimate that after analyzing the profiles and processes that have been carried out and are continuing, it will be necessary for the Government, in this case the prime minister, to decide on reconstruction, and I as a minister continue my processes and obligations as long as I am a minister in this institution”, said Azir Aliu, Minister of Health.

Unlike Aliu, VLEN said a day ago that if VMRO is the first largest party in the country, VLEN is the second political force and decisions will be made jointly. Meanwhile, a day ago Menduh Thaçi from the DPA said that he would not refuse the eventual invitation to participate in the Government and that he is open to dialogue with everyone. What is currently clear is that there will be a new cadre in the position of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment, after Izet Mexhiti became mayor of the municipality of Cair.

Bekim Sali has been mentioned for two months now as a possible name for first deputy prime minister to replace Mexhiti. On the eve of the government reconstruction, the WLEN coalition must make new calculations because if Bekim Sali is proposed for first deputy prime minister, he must also be a minister. The Department of Ecology remains in the hands of Izet Mexhiti’s LD.

In this case, VLEN must decide whether Sali will replace one of the other ministers, in this case from his party Alternativa, or one of the ministers from the Alliance remaining in VLEN, as Mickoski made it clear that there will be no additional ministries for VLEN./Alsat.mk
