Former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, participated in the 9th edition of the World Peace Forum being held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Jahjaga, through a post on Facebook, said that during her speech she emphasized values such as democracy, gender equality, inclusivity, and women’s leadership.
“The rise and re-rise of the Republic of Kosovo before and after the war, the challenges and difficulties, as well as my journey as the first female President of the country were also part of my speech, proudly showing the journey of my country’s resilience and success. At the same time, I emphasized that my contribution to Kosovo has gone through different institutional phases and positions, but always with the same goal, the general good of the country’s citizens,” Jahjaga wrote on Facebook.
Furthermore, Jahjaga also requested recognition of Kosovo from Indonesia.
“Among other things, in my speech I emphasized the request for recognition of the Republic of Kosovo by Indonesia,” she wrote.
