An esthetics salon is expanding the luxury spa experience with new beauty services and community artisan classes in Surfside Beach after 10 years in the Market Common.

Precision Beauty is offering threading, waxing, tinting, eyelash extensions, skin treatments and spray tans at 520 U.S. 17 Business.

Business owner Rae Roselli is a licensed esthetician in the state and while she enjoys all the beauty services offered, she said eyebrow maintenance is the most rewarding.

“Anything with brows – brow threading, brow waxing, tinting brows. Just that transformation, because I feel like it is just such a staple piece on your face,” she said. “It’s just really cool to just watch. You just transform somebody’s whole entire face with something so simple like that. It’s very visually satisfying.”

Roselli is also one of the few threading specialists available in Myrtle Beach.

Facial threading is a hair-removal technique that uses a piece of cotton string, doubled and twisted, to grab and pull hair around cheeks, chins, lips, foreheads and eyebrows.

“I do a lot of threading, but I am one of, like, three threaders in Myrtle Beach, maybe two,” Roselli said. “I’ve taken my classes on the things I like and the things I’m interested in and I’m comfortable with that. If there’s a new service that comes up and I want to learn how to do that then I go for it, but because there are so many different things, and they’re expensive, it falls into different products, different product lines, different machines. So, it’s just deciding what you want your focus to be.”

Roselli is in the process of hiring a barber, nail technician and a second esthetician with the Surfside Beach location offering four times more space than the shop in Market Common. She also hired a massage therapist who specializes in Ashiatsu. The Ashiatsu style massage consists of a barefoot masseuse walking on the clients back while holding onto parallel bars that are secured from the ceiling.
