I’m not Polish, but I’ve always admired Poland’s history and strength. The way this nation has risen time and time again is something I think the whole world can learn from. 🇵🇱❤️
Today, as Poland celebrates its Independence Day, I can’t help but admire this country’s story, one that’s been written in fire, faith, and unbelievable resilience.
There was a time when Poland wasn’t even on the map, her dark centuries of captivity; divided, occupied, and erased for over 120 years by Russia, Prussia, and Austria. Yet, somehow, Poland never forgot who she was. Her language, her faith, her identity… all kept alive by the hearts of her people, even when the map said she no longer existed. They whispered their language when it was forbidden. They taught their children to remember a homeland that “no longer existed.”
Before that, there was the great Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, one of Europe’s strongest alliances at the time. A partnership built on courage, culture, and vision. And even after that glory faded, the spirit behind it never did.
Then came World War II, the unimaginable 🤦🏾♂️
Warsaw turned to rubble, millions lost, yet the soul of the nation refused to break. Out of that devastation, Poland rebuilt. Not overnight. Not easily. But with that same unshakable will that’s always defined them.
Today, Poland stands tall again; modern, growing, and proud. A country that honors its past while shaping its future. One that protects its culture, borders, and values with a fierce love that many mistake for intolerance, but which really stems from knowing what it costs to lose one’s identity.
To me, Poland isn’t just another European nation, it’s a reminder that no matter how many times life burns you to ashes, you can rise again… if your heart still remembers who you are.
I know there may be other adversities I haven’t yet learned about. Someone once told me about 40 years in Russian captivity, which I hadn’t known before, but even the ones I’ve heard and read about are absolutely mind-blowing.
Sto lat, Polska. 🇵🇱
You’ve earned every bit of your freedom. 🇵🇱

The soldier in the graphic is not performing the polish salute. The polish salute is different. Two fingers pointing at the eagle on the hat, palm facing forward. The difference would be clearly visible even at this level of detail.
Do your homework next time, whoever made this.
What I see: French jets Poland doesn’t use set in Austrian formation and Vietnam era memorial with M1 helmet and AR (or rather XM177?) which is not standard platform for Polish armed forces.
You can also say that Poland of that time was so unbelievably rotten and incompetent that it was devoured without any real resistance, they just came and took it apart. Nothing to be fucking proud off here. Most shameful thing in our history, that’s how we should look at it
To you Poland
