The NHS does not really give much of a toss.
They gave my mom a mastectomy based on a bad diagnosis, they pulled a bunch of shenanigans when we asked for a copy of her results and reports…
This is really shocking – the two hospitals involved had consultants who were being paid by the faulty device company?? Were they held accountable?!
Banging some pots and pans together should fix this, right?
The NHS *was* a wonderful world-leading institution for decades after its conception. When compared to other models around the world, it doesn’t seem fit for purpose in 2025 UK.
Greg was my manager at work, I knew him for almost 2 years before he passed away. It’s heartbreaking to know that the risks of this device were known and yet not presented properly. Would he still be here if it was all explained properly? One can only wonder, but at least there would be nothing shady about how his condition was handled.
