The President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, says he does not want to face Kosovo in the 2026 World Cup play-offs.
Albania also mathematically secured a place in the play-offs, triumphing on the road to Andorra while England defeated Serbia.
After the match, Duka commented on Albania’s magnificent achievement, saying that the dream is the World Cup, while he has no desire to meet Kosovo.
“We continue our dream of the World Cup. The play-offs will pit us against strong teams. But we will fight and I hope we succeed.”
“I believe he is already very close to the playoffs, but he needs to evaluate the last two games to touch the playoffs. I absolutely would not want it (the confrontation). It would kill one of us,” he added.
Remember, if Albania surprises England and defeats them in Tirana, they will advance to the second pot.
If Kosovo gets a point in Slovenia, it will officially join Albania in the third pot for the 2026 World Cup./Telegraph/
