      How can anyone buy the bull shit of right wing parties? They don’t offer any solutions except hating immigrants and letting rich people walk all over the rest of us.

      Lausanne has implemented this a few years ago and while it’s not a game changer (they’ve used it some 15 times, “saving” 240 apartments from a market rent), it seems to be working decently.

      The exclusions seem sensible too:

      – transactions within families (direct line or in the collateral line up to and including the fourth degree)

      – purchases for the buyer’s own personal use

      – purchases by non-profit housing developers

      – communes can define additional exclusions, like a minimum-size of the property
