The Director General of Kosovo Customs, Agron Llugaliu, received today in a meeting the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, with whom he discussed deepening bilateral cooperation in key areas of customs and economic development.

During the meeting, the parties focused on advancing cooperation in trade facilitation, strengthening institutional integrity, and increasing professional capacities through technical assistance programs supported by the US. Director Llugaliu presented the achievements of Kosovo Customs and expressed readiness to intensify joint work with the aim of increasing transparency, security, and efficiency in the implementation of customs procedures.

He thanked the United States for its continued support, emphasizing that the strategic partnership with the US is essential for strengthening Customs capacities and providing high-standard services to citizens and the business community.

For her part, Prattipati praised Kosovo Customs’ modernization efforts and emphasized that the US welcomes initiatives that contribute to strengthening bilateral trade and economic growth for both countries.

Kosovo Customs confirmed that it will continue the path of reforms and modernization, in close cooperation with international partners, considering this cooperation essential for the further institutional and economic development of the country.
