Ukraine will import natural gas from Greece to help meet its winter energy needs, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a social post on platform X.
“Today, we have already prepared an agreement with Greece on gas for Ukraine, which will be another supply route to secure imports for the winter as much as possible,” Zelenskyy said, adding that agreements were in place to cover 2 billion euros in costs.
Zelenskyy, currently on a European tour, is scheduled to meet Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. He is set to travel to France on Monday for a “historic deal…to strengthen our combat aviation and air defense,” and to Spain on Tuesday for talks on bolstering Ukraine’s air defense and related initiatives with partners.
