      The judge had previously warned him to expect a sentence of up to 17 years. That already seemed on the low end, yet he’s only been given 10. Disgusting.

      This is a 30 years minimum crime. Not a day before. There still needs to be an element of punishment

      Ten years is ridiculous.

      Ask anyone, literally anyone, what sentence this crime deserves and a whole life tariff would be the softest option you’d hear.

      It just shows how the law and the judiciary has become totally out of touch and unfit for purpose.

      “teenage nursery worker” while correct, it should just say “man”. Writing “teenage” feels like an attempt to mitigate the situation.

      There’s a huge chance he will do it again when released. Needs decades behind bars, going to be mid 20’s when released.

      A couple years ago a guy got 11 years for selling pirated access to Premier League match streams.

      Now this guy gets 10 years for raping a 3 year old.

      Kinda cements my thought that our justice system is a bad joke…

      I’m no stranger to CSA – was victimised myself at 7. The level of unimaginable confusion and pain must be so so much worse for one that young.

      I hope the victims and their families find peace.
