Cheeky Denmark fans are arriving in Scotland today for the ‘winner takes all’ World Cup match are wearing their own specially made red kilts.

The Danish supporters decided to play the Tartan Army at their own game by designing their own special kilts.

Incredibly the 20 crazy fans have travelled to Glasgow from the Danish capital Copenhagen by bus! They are also bringing 1000 Danish sausages to give as gifts to Scottish fans ahead of the crucial match tomorrow night.

Fan and bus organiser Erik Bro spoke to the Mirror after getting off the overnight ferry this morning from Amsterdam to Newcastle. He said: “We thought we would get the kilts made ahead of the game.

“The Scotland fans always look so great in their tartan kilts and now we Danish fans have full red kilts. We are on our way – Scotland should stick to playing golf!

“Our helmets will puncture their bagpipes! Seriously we are really looking forward to the match – and let’s hope Denmark win! The bus journey will be worth it.

“We’re heading to the Scottish ‘highlands’ where we will show how to support a national team with heart and fighting spirit.”

It’s a 28 hour journey for the Danish fans to watch Kasper Schmeichel and their team try and make it to the finals next summer.

They each paid around £450 for the journey, hotel rooms and match ticket.

If Denmark do draw or beat Scotland tomorrow they will be confirmed finalists for next year’s tournament which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Scotland fans are delighted they still have a chance to process following their 3-2 defeat to Greece on Saturday. But a shock draw between Denmark and group minnows Belarus means that should Scotland win at Hampden Park they will process to the finals for the first time since 1998.

Eric and his pals are already planning on getting their bus across the Atlantic on a shipping container. “Let’s hope we qualify – it’s going to be a lot of fun next summer,” he said.
