I saw this shot on instagram. This photo was probably taken in the 60s/70s. Does anyone know the name of this gate and its location?

The lens is breaking my brain in this one because it’s making the angle look like theres more of a slope but this is the corner right before the Fairmont tunnel. That arch hasn’t existed since the 70s. Today from this angle you’d be looking at the new Mareterra buildings and little port.

Looks like the entrance to the tunnel on the circuit but it doesn’t look like that now.

  3. It’s down by Portier, the curve leads to where the tunnel is now – the old train tracks were running where the crowd is standing. The structure doesn’t exist anymore. Now there’s a roundabout and a new structure currently under construction.

Rail bridge that’s now a road. Used to lead into the train station (the GP hairpin is sometimes referred to as train station) before it was demolished for the Fairmont hotel

  5. The corner is named Portier on the track, now there is a big construction with image of a seaview
