NASA PAOs were having some fun during the launch with a 6-7 joke
Given the size of the constellation, putting an imagery payload on it could have been interesting. Near realtime coverage of the whole planet.

Karen St. Germain has a Ph.D in engineering and a solid background from the NOAA. It must have been painful for her to have knuckle under and use the phrase “keeping an uninterrupted watch over our planet’s sea surface height, finding patterns and advancing our understanding of planet Earth” instead of simply saying climate change. That isn’t a criticism of her at all; she’s in a very difficult position – speak boldly about the truth to Duffy and Trump and get fired or try to save what can be saved of the Earth Science Division. I hope she’s not getting an ulcer.
