  1. Those better be completely self-contained AIs that exist only on their employer’s servers or taken the trouble to remove every identifier prior to putting in the information, or they’ve committed a gross HIPAA violation.

    My mother is a doctor and she uses AI for Hipaa compliant transcriptions, which i think would fall under “documentation”

    Edit: it’s not like i told her to, it just gives her one less thing to do in a busy day.

  3. If you give me AI generated notes as purported medical advice, I am reporting you and leaving the practice. Already done it once.

    So the aspects of Healthcare that most involve interaction between the patient and doctor?

    I’m of the opinion that all cosmetic surgeons for example should lose their medical licenses as they’re basically just enabling self-harm.

    Increasingly think this should apply to any Doctor using AI.

    Love how the AMA are using a different definition of “AI” than everyone else. “Augmented Intelligence”. Not going to cause any confusion. No siree.
