The European Commission has published the 2026 calls for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, launching a new cycle of investment in education, youth, sport, volunteering and community engagement. Croatian organisations will have access to more than €52.8 million, most of it distributed through the Erasmus+ programme.
According to the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU), Erasmus+ remains a key driver of educational improvement, international cooperation and equal opportunities. With a total EU budget of €5.2 billion for 2026, the programme will strongly support the development of essential skills—digital, green, basic, civic and soft skills—within the broader Union of Skills initiative.
Croatian applicants will receive €50.79 million, including:
-
€43.41 million for education and training
-
€7.19 million for youth programmes
-
€182,845 for sports mobility
A new Erasmus+ action launching in 2026, European Partnerships for Educational Institution Development, will allow Croatian schools and educational institutions to test innovative teaching methods, strengthen pupils’ core skills and promote civic participation aligned with EU priorities.
Through the European Solidarity Corps (ESS), Croatia will receive €2.05 million in 2026. Funding will focus on humanitarian support, crisis-affected communities, environmental initiatives and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. The overall EU budget for ESS next year stands at €129.6 million.
