İBB lie confession from Türkiye Newspaper writer and TGRT Commentator Cem Küçük, who said ‘2 million dollars were found under the hardwood’: “From time to time, one can lie… well, slip something out of his mouth”

Türkiye Newspaper writer and TGRT Commentator Cem Küçük, who is known for his closeness to the government, admitted on live broadcast in a program he attended that he made false allegations during the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Ekrem İmamoğlu and after the indictment was prepared.

Küçük stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel denied him in a video he shared while he was making statements regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality indictment in the program called Taksim Square with Gürkan Hacır on TGRT, and said:

"…If you deny me, Mr. Ozel, deny these too. If it’s a lie, okay, you catch one, so I’m not saying ‘it’s true’, sometimes people lie… well, they might slip something out, it might not be true, you apologize and so on…"

With these statements, Küçük admitted and accepted that he lied about the IMM investigation process.

Özgür Özel also responded to Küçük’s confessional statement. Özel, to Küçük’s words "Sometimes people lie… They don’t! ‘It escaped me,’ he says. Can anyone escape the words ‘2 million dollars came out of hardwood floors’?" He replied with these words:
