Ιn a major shake-up to its Eurovision selection process, Poland is preparing to take its national final to an arena for the first time in history. According to information obtained by Wirtualne Media, TVP is planning a full-scale, ticketed live show featuring thousands of fans—and several internationally known Eurovision stars.

For years, Poland’s national selections have been confined to television studios with limited room for audiences. Last year’s show came from TVP’s new production hall, while previous editions were staged at facilities such as Transcolor or even inside the broadcaster’s headquarters. The move to a large concert venue marks the most ambitious transformation of the format to date.

Arena Show Planned for February 2026

The “Grand Final of Poland’s Eurovision 2026 Qualifiers” is scheduled for February 2026, though TVP has not yet announced which arena will host the event. What is clear, however, is that the broadcaster wants to elevate the show to a full-scale live spectacle. For the first time, entry will require a ticket, opening the doors to a significantly larger audience and giving Eurovision fans the chance to experience the national final in a true concert environment.

    International Eurovision Guests to Perform

In addition to the competing Polish acts, the show will feature special performances from internationally recognized Eurovision artists—an element designed to boost the prestige and visibility of the event. TVP’s shift toward a more expansive, entertainment-driven production reflects a broader trend among national finals across Europe, many of which have evolved into arena-sized shows in recent years.

    Selection Underway: Submission Deadline Approaches

Artists interested in representing Poland in Vienna in 2026 have until 24 November to submit their entries. Songs must be under three minutes and fully unpublished—neither released nor performed publicly—before 1 September 2025, in accordance with Eurovision rules.

A selection committee of 9 to 15 members will choose at least ten acts to participate in the live final. A new twist for 2026 will be the introduction of “participation cards”, which allow TVP to directly invite up to three additional artists. These special entries may be announced as late as one week before the final.

As usual, Poland’s representative will be chosen exclusively through public SMS voting, giving viewers complete control over who will carry the nation’s flag to the Eurovision stage in Vienna.
