LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – According to a social media post made by Lorain County 911, Lorain Police are primarily doing most of the police patrols in Sheffield Village due to a serious health incident involving one of their personnel.

19 News has reached out to Lorain and Sheffield Village Police for details about the incident.
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office told 19 News it will refrain from comment at this time.
At this time, the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office will refrain from further comment in order to honor the wishes of the Sheffield Village Police Department. Our thoughts are with the officer, their family, the village of Sheffield, and everyone at the police department as they navigate this difficult moment. We stand with them and offer our full support.
It is not known how long Lorain Police will be covering these patrols.
