Boris Johnson could face legal action over pandemic failings after damning Covid inquiry report

He won’t though, we don’t do accountability for old Etonians.

The UK ended up with one of the highest per-capita COVID-19 death rates in the world. Boris Johnson deliberately prioritized his premiership over public safety, putting politics before lives.

He had already done the same with Brexit, sacrificing the country’s long-term stability for his own political gain. Backed by a manipulative press, he exploited division and misinformation to rise to power.

And because voters rarely seem to learn, there’s every chance they’ll put Farage and his gang in Number 10 next.

I am no fan of him, but it’s easy to say with hindsight that we should have locked down earlier, isn’t it? It’s a bit different when you are having to balance that decision against potential economic devastation…

The thing is, people supported him in overwhelming numbers. And they did it despite his long and well-known record of incompetence and grifting.

I made a similar comment on an article about Brexit yesterday. People knew it would be a disaster just like they knew Boris would be a disaster. They supported Brexit and Boris for the same reason. Because they assumed they had the luxury of throwing a tantrum–which is essentially what Brexit and Boris were–and having someone come along to clean up the mess.

Well, Boris was such a disaster that it’s impossible to clean up the mess. People are blaming Starmer for not being able to wave a magic wand and take everything back to how it used to be. All of this is 100% the fault of voters. Boris is what he is. We all knew it.
