Several licensed clubs in Kosovo have formally accused the Kosovo Taekwondo Federation (FTWK) of serious procedural violations and irregularities in the convening of recent assemblies. According to official documents submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOC), and other relevant institutions, the complainants are requesting the suspension and cancellation of the Extraordinary Assembly scheduled for November 12, 2025, describing it as “illegal and invalid.”
The complaints were presented by two members of the FTWK Clubs Commission, Arben Gashi (Club Dardanet) and Nuhi Gashi (AAM Prishtina), with the support of eight licensed clubs. They argue that assemblies held on January 31 and November 8, 2025, did not comply with the FTWK Statutes, lacked proper legal foundation, and failed to meet the quorum required by the MCYS, which stipulates a minimum of 15 delegates. According to the documents, only 10 were present.
The complaints further allege that the invitations to these assemblies were issued and signed by individuals without official mandate; that several licensed clubs, including AAM Prishtina, were not invited; and that the minutes of the November 8 Assembly contained inconsistencies. The complainants state that the minutes did not include start or end times, and that at least one club (Kaçanik) was listed as present despite not attending.
In the complaint submitted by Nuhi Gashi, it is noted that communication from the Ministry dated March 27, 2025, had already declared the January 31 Assembly invalid. The complainants argue that the assemblies of November 8 and 12 aim to continue the same invalid process. They also contest the inclusion of clubs that allegedly do not exist, while several licensed clubs were excluded from the convocation list.
Based on this, the complainants request:
-
Immediate suspension of the November 12 Assembly,
-
Cancellation of the November 8 process,
-
Recognition of the Clubs Commission as the only legally approved body entitled to convene assemblies,
-
And suspension of the distribution of the FTWK allocated annual budget of €160,000 pending investigation.
Gazeta Insajderi, which accessed and published the documents, confirmed that it requested an official response from the Federation of Taekwondo of Kosovo regarding these allegations. As of publication time, no official reply has been issued.
