Melania Trump has shared a heartfelt story about a family heirloom that has played a special role in two of life’s most memorable moments – her wedding and her son Barron’s baptism.
Speaking to Fox News, the 55-year-old First Ladt recalled the busy and exciting day of her wedding, saying: “It was an exciting day, a busy, busy day, as every bride wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. And it went. We had a good day, I’m sure.”
The heirloom in question is a baptism candle that her mother brought over from her native Slovenia. Melania described the candle’s unique significance, explaining how the candle was lit in the church when she was baptized. It comes after a former aide revealed the chilling reason Melania will never leave Donald.

It was then lit at her and Donald Trump’s wedding, and then lit it again when Baron was baptized. The first lady went on to say she believes she still has the candle somewhere.
Melania also shared a charming coincidence about the family’s birthdays and milestones. “I was baptized on Donald’s birthday,” she revealed, before adding: “June 14th.”
Reflecting on motherhood, Melania explained how her priorities shifted after becoming a parent. She said: “I stepped back from public life, no longer wanted the glamorous photo shoots and the jet-setting lifestyle, and my career took a backseat.”
When asked why, she said it was because she had a “different purpose in life,” agreeing that best day of her life was when they put the baby in her arms.
A candid photograph in her book captures a busy moment at home, showing her juggling work and motherhood, the Fox News journalist said.
She said to Melania: “There’s a picture in the book, and you have Baron in one of those small little motorized cars, books, his books, his children’s books are all over the floor. You have your papers all over the desk. And I looked at that picture, and I said, this is a working mom’s life.”
Mrs Trump replied: “We can all relate to this. Everything’s chaotic, everything’s hectic, but it’s so much fun, and everyone tells us to enjoy those moments because they’re fleeting, and your kids grow up, and it just flies by.”
Through the heirloom candle and these personal reflections, Melania offered a rare glimpse into the intimate moments that have shaped her family life, from her Slovenian roots to raising her son in the spotlight of American public life.
