  1. As a reminder for those who hate the sun (or any other newspaper for that matter) – there is an automod sticky in every single link post with a bypass link so you can read the article without clicking the direct link.

  2. Like him or loath him this is dreadful news. Not even 60. Cancer knows no boundaries.

I wish him a full recovery.

“The politician has now called for screening to be offered to men most at risk of the disease.”

No-one gives a fuck until it affects them, and then they insist that everyone gives everything.

Cameron? When I find my magnifying glass so I can find my violin ….. maybe.

I can imagine (if it were possible) that there would be a pig’s head feeling a little touch of Schadenfreude about that.

P cancer, the one I always have to stop and think if it’s the ‘you’re fucked’ or the ‘you’re probably good’ one.

This man saddled me with insurmountable debt for the rest of my working life just to get an education which he got for free…

  7. Horrible. Can’t imagine how anyone must feel when they’re told they have cancer. And Cameron isn’t even that old either.

I’d have sympathy for him if he wasn’t such a waster coward who ran at the first sign of some hard work (Brexit referendum and then bolting when it didn’t go his way)

  10. Everyone with a prostate should be getting checked every few years after they turn 50.

I’ve changed my gender with the NHS and that was the first time I was told there wasn’t a national prostate screening programme.

Now the NHS doesn’t think I’ve got one, I have to take responsibility to arrange the screening myself. There’s no history of prostate issues in my family but my mother did die from a rare form of breast cancer. *That* I’ll get reminders for. I’m already overdue my first mammogram.

  11. Wouldn’t wish it on anybody and glad to hear he has recovered.

Hopefully such an ordeal has led to some introspection and at least he’s using his experience to push for something good.

I wish these articles covered what made him go to the dr, highlighting the symptoms it always seems to be missing.
