Serbia’s ZORK Bor Serbia won a ticket to the round of 16 at the 2025/26 EHF Women’s European Cup after a dramatic match with explosive support from home fans.

Bor beat Slovakia’s HK Slovan Duslo Sala Slovecia 36-31 in the second round of the third round match held at USC Bobana Momcilovic Velickovic in Bor, Serbia, on the 15th (local time).

Bor returned home with a four-goal deficit, losing 31–35 on the road in the first leg. However, in the second game, he fought back strongly from the start of the game, leading the first half 15-14 and continuing a close race until the middle of the second half.

The match was completely balanced with a 28-28 match up to five minutes before the end. At this rate, Bor was eliminated from the combined score.

But Bor completely turned the tide by scoring back-to-back goals in the final five minutes, with his team’s fixer Sara Radovic scoring a miraculous winning goal a second before the end to give it a 32-28 advantage. This resulted in a 63-63 tie between the two teams, and the game eventually turned to a game-winning throw.

The drama continued even in the game-winning throw. Salah missed twice, and Bor had the advantage, failing only once.

The last kicker, Dr. Aleksandra Baksa, calmly shook the net to seal a 36-31 and final victory.

Bor led the attack with nine goals by Sarah Radovic, five by Dr. Alexandra, and four by Tina Faunich. In particular, Radovic scored crucial points from the middle of the second half and completely dominated the flow of the game.

Although Karin Bujnochová scored seven goals, it was painful that the team’s overall success rate of seven meters was only 66 percent (8/12).
