There have been plenty of stories of late of fans getting more than a little handsy with performers onstage, but few have taken it as well as Lenny Kravitz did during his show in Australia over the weekend.
The rock icon took to Instagram to share the story of it all after.
“Brisbane, that was wild,” Kravitz said in a video shared to his Instagram stories. “That was wild. So, when I went out for ‘Let Love Rule,’ a very excited young lady pulled four dreadlocks out of the back of my head. You know how hard you got to pull to rip those out of my head? Damn, baby.”
Was he upset? Maybe, but he made sure to let fans know that won’t change how his shows go moving forward.
“Anyway, I’m not gonna stop coming out there for ‘Let Love Rule,’” Kravitz said. “Because that’s what we do. That’s our moment together. Brisbane, you’re wild. I love you.”
Kravitz also shared a photo from the Brisbane show that featured him playing a guitar onstage. Fans were quick to throw their support behind him.
“Amazing show!” one person replied. “Made this girl very happy to finally see you perform live.”
“What an epic night,” another wrote.

Parade Magazine noted that Kravitz continued a month of shows across Australia with the Nov. 21 show in Brisbane. The outlet said the 61-year-old rock star still has shows left in Melbourne, Mildura and Adelaide to wrap up the tour through the country.
He is then slated to return to the stage with a show in Mexico City on March 14, 2026.
