While President Donald Trump repeatedly boasts about the U.S. economy, a new poll revealed Americans do not believe he is doing enough to bring down costs.

The new CBS News/YouGov poll, released on Sunday, showed that there is a disconnect between Trump’s messages on the economy and Americans’ perceptions on the issue. The poll came as Trump declared on Sunday that the U.S. is seeing the “best” economy under his administration.

The poll suggested that Americans are skeptical of Trump’s claims.

The poll showed that 60% of Americans believed Trump makes inflation and the cost of living sound “better than they really are.” Another 27% believe Trump makes things sound the same as they really are and 13% say he makes things sound worse than they really are.

The poll also found just 32% of Americans believe the economy is good — a slight drop from the 35% who said the same in a poll taken at the beginning of November.

The poll also showed 58% of Americans think prices have been increasing in recent weeks, while just 31% said they are staying the same and 11% said they are going down. Most Americans, 65%, said Trump’s policies are responsible for making grocery prices go up.

According to the poll, 77% of Americans think Trump is not spending enough time fixing the economy. He has just a 36% approval on the economy, down from the 38% approval rating he had at the beginning of the month.

Overall, Trump had a 40% approval rating and a 60% disapproval rating on how he was handling his job as president.

The poll was conducted among 2,489 U.S. adults between Nov. 19-21. It has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.

Other recent polls have echoed Americans’ concerns on the economy.

According to a recent Fox News poll, 76% of voters disapprove of the economy — a nine-point jump from 67% who said the same in July. A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll also suggested trouble for Trump on the issue of affordability, with just 26% of Americans saying Trump is doing a good job at managing the cost of living.
