    Eurovision fallout brings smiles to Basel [RTS]


    The Eurovision in Basel is the third most profitable event (115 millions) in the country, after the Euro of 08 (870 millions), and the Ski World Championship in 2017 (142 millions).

    And of that, the economy in Basel got 53 millions.

    All of that from an event broadcast on public TV’s.

      Those events work great in Switzerland because we already have the best transportation and tourism infrastructure in the world, so very little needs to be spent to make them happen.

      Compare to the current shit show that the COP in the Amazon is, or the last couple world cups.
